Being new to Twitter, this is all very helpful and interesting. Thanks, Joy, for your insights. Your husband must be stoked being married to you. He’s probably a really, really great guy too, I imagine. Anyway… enough about me. For any cycling enthusiasts out there, or at least people who want to follow other extraordinary people, I have enjoyed following @lancearmstrong. He posts a lot and shows a very human side to a guy that seems super-human.

I started a Twitter account for my dog because her name is the same as a local photographer’s and I didn’t want people to be confused when I mentioned her.

Next thing you know she has a profile and followers (mostly dogs.)

I think the most interesting people to follow are those that post interesting links. @joybianchibrown is a great example of that. It’s like she doesn’t sleep or something. Maybe she is not really a person. Hrrm

I also tend to gravitate toward the people who send out good links about the programs I use most often.

Dana Reeves, @DanaReeves She is the marketing director for PPA (Professional Photographers of America). She is new to twitter but knows the potential for it already.

SIDE RANT: PPA is better than WPPI IMHO because they are a non profit organization with the purpose of improving photographers businesses. Where WPPI is all fluff. Yeah I know I will get some hate from that statement. : ) WPPI does have great parties though. That is something. Not really something to generate more income for your family but at least you had fun. Right? Having a fun is the most important thing about going to a conference right? Right? heh I better stop talking now…

Jules, I’ve been on Twitter for just under four weeks and it is definitely addictive. At times I feel a little guilty, it’s like I’m stalking people, but maybe it’s just the Catholic in me.

Here are the people whose updates I get sent to my phone (I’m sure some of the names will look familiar): @abstanfield, @kevinkubota, @danesanders, @thebecker, @mikecolon, @joybianchibrown, @julesbianchi, @rondawson, @jessicaclaire, @altfdotcom, @chasejarvis.

I’ll be carefully watching the last two episodes of BSG to see if your theory about Starbuck’s father pans out.
