Last April, Jules spoke at the fabulous Kevin Kubota’s Digital Photography Bootcamp. I have to tell you, if you haven’t tried some of the Kubota Image Tools, you are missing out. I installed mine and within 5 minutes I was trying actions and learning new things I had never done with photoshop! It is just so easy with the Dashboard, and I can’t say enough about it.

Before the dashboard, I would waste time searching through my disorganized folders of actions–usually the same one, over and over! Now, I just need to type in the name, or even just the type of action I’m looking for and it pops right up!

OOoooh the best feature of all… the “paint” feature. Instead of applying the action to the entire image, you can choose to PAINT the action ONLY on the parts of the image that you want to! How cool is that?!?

Most of you know how highly I think of Kevin Kubota. After attending his Digital Photography Bootcamp this past April, I have become an avid (rabid?) fan. Kevin is the kind of guy who has become successful by helping others to become successful… the best kind of success, if you ask me. I recently found a fun interview that Kevin gave this past June on the Pro Photography online show. In it, he discusses the best way to showcase yourself to get the clients you want, his latest favorite gadget, and how he started using that action hero to represent his photoshop actions.

Kubota Digital Bootcamp

Back in the Fall of 2007, the incredibly talented Kevin Kubota of Kubota Image Tools asked Jules to guest speak at his April 08 Digital Photography Bootcamp. Since she was going, I tagged along for a little educational experience, and I’m so glad I did! Kevin empowers photographers across the Galaxy– including Jules who has used his PhotoShop Actions for years. What an amazing week we had! For those of you who need help with Photoshop, Lightroom, or workflow issues, this is a must-go seminar. Not only is it incredibly educational, it is a blast.
